Madonna kunnioittaa someviestissään 69-vuotiaana kuollutta huipputuottajaa
Maailmankuulu tuottaja William Orbit (William Wainwright) on kuollut 69-vuotiaana. Orbit menehtyi jo 23.7. mutta tieto Orbitin kuolemasta jaettiin nyt julkisuuteen miehen somekanavien kautta. Kuolinsyytä ei ole kerrottu.
2000-luvun vaihteessa Orbit tuotti Madonnan "Ray of Lightin" ja Blur-yhtyeen levyn "13".
Orbitin ura alkoi jo 80-luvulla kokoonpanossa Torch Song, jossa vaikuttivat myös Laurie Mayer ja Grant Gilbert. Ensimmäisen sooloalbumin Orbit julkaisi jo vuonna 1987.
Usealla Grammy-pystillä palkittu menestystuottaja julkaisi vuosikymmenten aikana useita sooloalbumeita, joista viimeinen ilmestyi vuonna 2022.
Madonna on lisännyt someen viimeiset jäähyväiset: "Koin oivalluksen tavatessani sinut ja aloittaessamme yhteistyömme. Tajusin, ettei musiikin tarvinnut sopia tiettyihin kategorioihin tai genreihin. Loimme oman tyylimme".

I miss those days. Only you could inspire me to write a song like Drowned World or Swim. You were so otherworldly. So singular.
The years passed and I moved on to make music with other people, but I have never forgotten you or the magical time we spent together.
