Mass Effect alkaa kuin Top Gun - ''Miten ette ole tätä huomanneet?''

"Vihdoin joku huomaa tämän, olen odottanut niin kauan...", julisti Mass Effect -sarjan päävetäjä Casey Hudson Twitterissään. Kyseinen "tämä" on se, että Top Gun -faniksi julistautuva Hudson käytännössä kloonasi lentoleffan aloituksen muodon peliinsä.
